Description

A clear acrylic enclosure that is taller than it is wide, for a praying mantis or another small climber that likes height. The lid flips open on top and closes with a magnetic latch, and rows of small holes in the side walls let air through.

S stands 3.9 in (10 cm) tall on a 3.1 x 2.8 in (8 x 7 cm) floor, M stands 7.9 in (20 cm) on 4.7 x 4.7 in (12 x 12 cm), L stands 9.8 in (25 cm) on 5.9 x 5.9 in (15 x 15 cm). The panels are held together by clips. Decor, substrate and animal are not included.

How to read a size

11.8 in tall, 7.9 × 7.9 in floor (30 × 20 × 20 cm). The first number is always the height. It decides who can live in it: climbers want height, ground dwellers want floor.

Tall or low

Climbers live up: a jumping spider hangs her hammock near the top and a mantis hangs upside down to molt, so they get a tall enclosure with the door low on the front. Ground dwellers live down: isopods and snails want floor space, a deep layer of damp substrate and a lid that closes well. A young spider (a sling) is easier to watch and to feed in a smaller enclosure.
